COMMISSIONS

Bring your memories to life with a bespoke artwork by me - Carolyn Walsh. 

 

The artwork is created using a mix of acrylic paint and transfer printing on a fine art paper, sprayed with a Satin varnish with UVLS and then framed. 

 

I take on a limited number of commissions each year. There is a waitlist, but I always try to fit you in and meet your deadline where possible. 

 

PRICE LIST 

 

A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) - €250 framed

A3 (29.7 x 42 cm)  - €350 framed

A2 (42 x 59.4 cm)  - €500  framed

In the event that the subject of the piece is a popular location and is not already in my collection, I may be able to offer you a second/lower price option that would allow me to release the piece as a series of limited edition prints while making the piece non exclusive to you.

In this case the original artwork that is non exclusive would be -

A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) - €200 framed

A3 (29.7 x 42 cm)  - €300 framed

A2 (42 x 59.4 cm)  - €450  framed

 

PAYMENT

- A Deposit of 30% is required to secure your spot

- The final payment is to be made upon delivery or collection 

- An invoice will be sent to you when the artwork is completed and there will be the option to pay through Revolut, Bank transfer, cash or I can send you a payment link.

IMAGES 

 

Please provide your own high res photos where possible. In some cases I may have already taken photos of the location or may be able to take some if the subject is in close proximity.

 

I cannot use images from the internet due to copyright issues

 

I also ask for a selection of images of pieces from my collection that you like to give me an idea of how you would like the piece to look. 

 

THE PROCESS

 

The piece once started should take about a week to complete but I usually slot commissions into a month and will aim to have it finished by the end of the month you have been allocated.

I will send you a shot of the piece when it is nearly finished and at this stage if you would like to make any changes we can make them at this point.

No returns on commissioned work

Deposits are non refundable once work has begun. 

In the unlikely event that that the artist must cancel the piece, the full deposit will be refunded.

​

Damage during shipping must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

​

I do not ship framed pieces internationally but unframed pieces are fine.

​

The physical artwork is your property upon payment but you are not allowed to reproduce it in anyway. The artist retains full copyright of the artwork, including the right to produce prints (if agreed upon), use for promotional material and social media. If it is a personal image and you prefer it not to be used on social media please let me know and I wont share it.

 

FRAMING

If there was a frame colour or style not shown on the link that you had in mind I can look into ordering for you.

If you would like AR glass let me know and I can get a price for you on this.

(AR - Anti-reflective coating is a coating for glass that decreases reflection and protects artwork from light damage. This glass generally costs about 30 - 40% more than standard glass and I would have to order it for you)

​

I can also work on a deep wooden panel rather than paper but extra charges will apply for this and if additional framing if required.
